Welcome to the website of St. John’s Anglican Church in Franklin, Tennessee!
We are a multi-generational community of imperfect people seeking to grow in Christ together and become His followers in the world. Worship is the grand essential of our life together in Christ and the center from which all else flows. We are liturgical, evangelical, and joyous in our worship of the Triune God. We pray to be transformed as we give ourselves, sent by Christ into the world, in our homes and neighborhoods, workplaces, and in the public square.
We worship on Sunday evenings and are finding a rhythm of work and rest that is restorative to our souls. We are seeking to live in a way that resists the hurry and busyness of our culture and to walk with God in everyday life, engaging both the beauty and brokenness of the world around us.
St. John’s is a parish of the the Anglican Church of North America (ACNA). We understand the Anglican tradition as a Communion in which the ancient Christian tradition and the insights of the Reformation inform and enrich one another. Our worship services follow the same basic outline as most Christian churches since the days of the earliest Christians. At the same time, we fill in the details of the service with the music and language of the present.
This website should help you get to know us a bit better. But it’s really just a first step. We hope you will join us for worship and experience our community. By God’s grace, you may find yourself at home among us.
Grace and peace to you,
The Rev. Kenny Benge, Pastor
