Frequently Asked Questions
- Will I be allowed to receive Communion?
All baptized Christians are welcome to receive communion with us–regardless of age or denomination.
You may either dip the bread into the cup, or eat the bread and drink directly from the cup.
Gluten-free wafers are available; just ask the priest when he comes to you.
If you do not wish to receive communion, you may stay seated or come forward;
if you come forward, cross your hands on your chest and you will receive a blessing. - I'm not familiar with liturgical services. How will I know what to do?
If this will be your first time in an Anglican worship service, we are delighted to welcome you. We know the beautiful and ancient pattern of worship in the Anglican tradition may be new to you. We have tried to make it easier by providing a printed bulletin. Just follow along. The parts of the liturgy in bold type are said by the whole congregation. Please don’t feel obligated to do anything but to enjoy the service reverently and expectantly.
